Cut Back Reverse Appliqué - Make A Miniature Quilt
This technique involves layering fabrics with machine stitching and then cutting back to reveal the fabrics underneath. Use those awkward shiny fabrics to great effect. An easy way to create ethic wallhangings, cushions, etc.

  Landscapes
Make a landscape using textured fabrics and learn how to dye and bleach your own fabrics to achieve stunning results. Using freezer paper or Bondaweb appliqué, you can make a wallhanging or a picture suitable for framing. Hand or machine work.

  Little Houses
Use appliqué to make a wallhanging using blocks on point with houses, trees and paths. This is one of my own original designs, which makes a nice Christmas hanging. A very popular workshop. Machine work.

  Flying Geese
See how easy it is to make 3D flying geese! I used this technique to create my quilt Setting The Goose Free, which was selected for the Under The Covers exhibition in 1999. Another popular and versatile workshop - you can use these geese to make a wallhangings, bags and waistcoats.

  Felt and Nuno Felt
Have a fun day learning how to make felt. Nuno Felt is a lightweight felt on a muslin base, which is ideal for embroidery. You can use both types of felt to make bags, hats, waistcoats and wallhangings.

  Jewellery
Use felt, pelmet vilene and machine embroidery to make earrings and brooches. I'll supply the findings, designs, ideas and encouragement - if you'll supply the enthusiasm!

  Appliqué Dabble Day
Learn the various types of hand and machine appliqué - perfect for quilting and embroidery. This is a technique learning day - and appliqué is my specialty!

My Most Popular Workshop
3D Freeshape Appliqué
Learn how to make quick quilt background and then add the freeshape appliqué pieces to make an individual wallhanging. Brilliant!

  Layer Upon A Quilt
An unusual way to make a quilt... Make a three layer sandwich and then keep adding and adding. It's a little like being back in school - using potato printing and you own individual touch. It helps to have some knowledge of free machine quilting or embroidery, but I'll give tuition as well.

  Machine Quilting Dabble Day
Another technique day. Learn about machine quilting and how to use those embroidery stitches and the walking foot. Revolutionise your quilting!

  Innovation Dabble Day
I'll show you how to use some of the new products on the market to enhance your quilt making. Image transfer, 3D paints, puff paints - and more. We can use these new skills to make a sample book.

  Jazzy Fabric Books
Use up all your scraps - along with some lace, buttons, 3D paint and other embellishments, to make a fabric book for all your precious memories. Photos can be transferred to fabric and pockets made for all those special trinkets.

  Microwave Dyeing
Learn how to use dyes in the microwave - you'll create some sumptuous colours in an amazingly short time. We'll also look at how to use this technique in your work.

  Indigo Dyeing
Use the queen of dyes and a variety of resist techniques to create some wonderful dyed fabrics, lace and threads. Dyes provided.

Textured Dimensions - One Day Workshop
A day's adventure into the world of texture! Using soldering irons, hot air guns and free machine embroidery, you'll combine plastics and paints to make a stunning small panel for framing or mounting.

Textured Dimensions - Two Day Workshop
Use a microwave to dye fabrics - and as a by-product, plastic bags! Then on day two, we'll create a small wallhanging, which you can embellish with foiling, stamping and 3D painting. A vibrant and unusual piece of work is guaranteed!
