Cut Back
Reverse Appliqué - Make A Miniature
Quilt
This technique involves layering fabrics
with machine stitching and then cutting
back to reveal the fabrics underneath.
Use those awkward shiny fabrics to great
effect. An easy way to create ethic wallhangings,
cushions, etc. |

Landscapes
Make a landscape using textured fabrics
and learn how to dye and bleach your own
fabrics to achieve stunning results. Using
freezer paper or Bondaweb appliqué,
you can make a wallhanging or a picture
suitable for framing. Hand or machine work. |

Houses
Use appliqué to make a wallhanging
using blocks on point with houses, trees
and paths. This is one of my own original
designs, which makes a nice Christmas hanging.

Geese

I used this technique to create my quilt
Setting The Goose Free, which was selected
for the Under The Covers exhibition in 1999.

Have a fun day learning how to make felt.
Nuno Felt is a lightweight felt on a muslin
base, which is ideal for embroidery. You
can use both types of felt to make bags,
hats, waistcoats and wallhangings. |

Use felt, pelmet vilene and machine embroidery
to make earrings and brooches. I'll supply
the findings, designs, ideas and encouragement
