Cut Back Reverse Appliqué - Make A Miniature Quilt
We will use this technique to make a miniature quilt, which involves layering fabrics with machine quilting and then cutting back to reveal the layers underneath. Use those shiny glitzy fabrics to great effect. An easy way to create ethnic wall-hangings, cushions etc.

 
  Landscapes
Make a landscape using coloured fabrics you have created yourself and achieve stunning results. Using freezer paper or bond-a-web appliqué you can make a wall-hanging or a picture suitable for framing. Hand or machine work.
 
  Jewellery
Use felt, pelmet vilene and machine embroidery to make earrings and brooches. I’ll supply the findings, designs, ideas and encouragement – if you’ll supply the enthusiasm!
 
  Appliqué Dabble Day
Learn the various types of hand and machine appliqué – perfect for quilting and embroidery. This is a technique learning day and appliqué is one of my specialities!

3D Freeshape Appliqué
Learn how to make a quick quilt background and then add the free-shape appliqué pieces to make an individual hanging. Brilliant!
 
  Layer Upon a Quilt
An unusual way to make a quilt...... make a three layer sandwich as usual, and then keep adding and adding. Sheer fabrics, acrylic paint and embellishments make this a fabric that can be used for needle cases, vases and book-covers. Some knowledge of free machine quilting /embroidery is helpful.
 
 

Machine Quilting Dabble Day
Another technique day. Learn about machine quilting and how to use those embroidery stitches and the walking foot. Revolutionise your quilting!

 
  Innovation Dabble Day
I’ll show you how to use some of the new products on the market to enhance your quilt-making and embroidery. Image transfer, 3D paints, Fuse FX, foiling are just some of the products we will look at.
 
  Jazzy Fabric Books
Use up all your scraps – along with some lace, buttons, 3D paint and other embellishments to make a fabric book for all your precious memories. Photos can be transferred to fabric and pockets made for all those special trinkets.
 
  Microwave Dyeing
Learn how to use these dyes in your microwave – you’ll create some sumptuous colours in an amazingly short time. We’ll also look at how to use this technique in your work.
 
  Indigo Dyeing
Use the queen of dyes and a variety of resist techniques to create some wonderful dyed fabrics, lace and threads. Dyes provided.
 
  Textured Dimensions – One Day Workshop
A day’s adventure into the world of texture! Using soldering irons, hot air guns and free machine embroidery, you’ll combine plastics and paints to make a stunning panel for framing or mounting.
 
  Textured Dimensions – Two Day Workshop
Use a microwave to dye fabrics – and as a by product, plastic bags! Then on day two we’ll create a small wall-hanging, which you can embellish with foiling, stamping and 3D paint.
 
  Image Transfer Dabble Day
Come and learn some easy techniques for transferring images to fabric, these can then be made into fabric collages ready for machine stitching.
 
  Image Transfer - Two Day Workshop
On day one we will play with various types of image transfer techniques and on day two we will apply this to textiles in order to create some stunning panels ready for framing!
 
  Fuse Effects
During this workshop we will be experimenting with painted bond-a-web, papers, fabrics, stitch, paint and foiling to produce a very original work of art that will be a jumping off point for further work.
