Ramparts Field
Ramparts Field is where we used to have picnics when the children were small. I'm always inspired by landscapes and some of my latest work is inspired by my surroundings here in East Anglia. Hand-dyed and hand-painted fabrics.

Awards
Best Use of Colour - Festival of Quilts, 2003.

Porphura Haze I
This quilt grew out of a pile of my own hand-dyed fabrics and plastics, plus scraps from older quilts. I made the beads in the centre section using a soldering iron!

31 x 31 inches / 80 x 80 cm. 2003.

Awards
3rd Place Contemporary Mixed Media - Festival of Quilts, 2003.

Porphura Haze II
You know the feeling... "I saw a pile of fabrics at a show and I just had to have them!"

This little quilt features potato stamping (a much under-used technique, I think), free machine embroidery, beads and sequins. Displayed in a regional gallery as part of an Anglia Textile Works exhibition and on the cover of The Quilter - the Journal of the Quilters' Guild of The British Isles.

29 x 31 inches / 73 x 78 cm. 2003.

A Taste of Summer
This quilt is my homage to traditional quilt makers and foundation piecing. I like the traditional setting of the circle block, but designed the wavy block to bring in another shape to the quilt.

79 x 79 inches / 200 x 200 cm. 2001.

Awards
1st Place Large Wallhanging - Quilts UK, 2001.
Honourable Mention - World Quilt and Textile Show USA, 2001.

Mining Memories
I am often moved by social issues - so when these mines were closed down, I wondered what would happen to the unemployed miners and their families.

Awards
