Anglia Textile Works is...
a contemporary textile group made up of artists who produce textile related art, either as professionals or serious amateurs. We came together in 1997 to provide an environment for pursuing new techniques and creative directions and to achieve professional recognition.

Coin - by Lucie Summers
Coin was inspired by a 16th century German coin found in Suffolk. Lino printed linen background, appliquéd organza, machine embroidered and burnt back with a soldering iron. Painted with emulsion paint and glitter. Hand seed stitched and machine quilted.

  Yvonne Brown
Yvonne is involved in a wide range of textile related arts including art quilts, textile wallhangings and contemporary embroideries. She particularly enjoys experimenting with new techniques and all forms of surface decoration. Yvonne is available for workshops, talks and commissions.

  Sheila Cetti
Sheila is an East Anglia based textile artist who creates art quilts and fabric bowls. As proprietor of Textures, Sheila visits textile groups with her selection of extotic fabrics, handpainted threads, silk paper, beads and unusual yarns.

  Kathy Colledge
Kathy produces contemporary wallhangings using mainly traditional quilting techniques and juggles her creativity with a busy a career as a musician. Above all, it is a love of colour and texture that attracts her to textile art and she finds inspiration in a wide variety of sources but predominantly from the natural world. Strong colours, curved lines and organic shapes have become a feature of her work.

  Lucie Summers
Lucie's work is mostly inspired by the countryside, particularly the flat landscape and large skies of Suffolk. She usually works in a collage style, layering fabrics together to create new images, often dyeing, screenprinting, linoprinting or stamping her fabrics before embellishing with hand stitches, beads and sequins.

  Linda Whitby
Linda has studied City and Guilds Patchwork and Quilting Part 1 and 2 and has been a member of ATW for a number of years. Her work has been exhibited both in the UK and abroad. Linda's use of the computer in both quilt and fabric design has given a new dimension to her work, which can be found in private collections.

Judy Loope and Kate Marshall
In 2004 Judy Loope and Kate Marshall, two American quilt artists, joined Anglia Textile Works as associate members. ATW has also formed a relationship with Fiber Transformed, a group of textile artists from Virginia, USA, with a view to sharing ideas and exhibitions across the Atlantic.
